What is Diablo 2 Resurrected?

Diablo 2 is not meant to be a remake. It will be the same D2 core gameplay, story, and tone. The voices and actors will also be the same.

The Game Diablo 2 resurrected will bring a lot of changes. However, the game developers still want to capture the classic Diablo experience. Thus, there will still be different runes in D2. To make your hero even stronger, you can buy runes in Diablo 2. This will improve the abilities of your hero.

Release Date

The release date is September 23rd, 2021, and open multiplayer beta took place in August for the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms.

However, beta players have only had access to the Amazon, Barbarian, Paladin, Sorceress, and Druid classes. Assassin and Necromancer will only be playable at release.

Characters in Diablo 2

Amazon

The Amazon has only a few spears as equipment at the beginning. She has to start with melee combat and collect enough gold so that she can then afford her first bow or crossbow.

In addition to ranged combat with the bow or crossbow, the Amazon also has various melee manoeuvres that she can choose from. In close combat she mostly fights with the spear.

Inside ranged combat, the Amazon is stronger than in melee. However, she also has skills that improve her overall abilities, so she can also be strong in close combat.

Assassin

The Assassin’s weapon of choice is the claw weapon, which he dual wields with high efficiency. Through charging techniques and finishing moves, the Assassin builds up large charges in a skill, then unleashes them with a finisher. Larger charges mean a more powerful effect. This makes the Assassin class very different from other classes, as it actively asks the player to switch between two types of skills. This is unique and offers the player a varied gaming experience.

Barbarian

The barbarian is a true warrior. He crushes his enemies with pure strength and is an exemplary melee fighter and an unparalleled weapons master who can destroy his enemies with massive weapons.

The barbarian has the highest strength value from the beginning. This allows him to carry heavy equipment very early on. However, he is somewhat limited in ranged combat, as he only has two skills for ranged combat. He has to get close to the monsters all the time and therefore needs the heavy Armor. Thus, the barbarian also represents the perfect tank in D2.

Druid

The Druid is one of the two characters in the expansion that have been around since the Lord of Destruction expansion. As masters of nature, Druids were originally the same race as Barbarians.

The Druid combines various characteristics of earlier classes in Diablo:

Elemental magic like the Sorceress, abilities like the Necromancer, aura-giving spirits like the Paladin, and the new shapeshifting abilities that allow the Druid to excel in melee combat. With the rune in D2, the shapeshifting abilities can also be improved.

Paladin

The Paladin was always tied to the church, but after Diablo 2 he had a hard time finding his place in society.

In Diablo 2 Resurrected he is known as a champion of light and justice who has devoted himself again to protecting the innocent.

The Paladin uses a mace and shield combination, which provides him with a lot of protection in close combat. The Paladin’s weapon options were temporarily limited to the shield, crossbow, and bow. However, he will have these abilities again in a later patch after release.

The Paladin is a very melee-oriented character who uses auras and abilities to improve their own skills and stats. However, the Paladin is not limited to melee combat, as one of the top builds in the game, the Hammerdin, uses the Blessed Hammer skill for damage.

Necromancer

The history of the Necromancer had a long history all the way from Diablo 2 to 3. They were one of the most popular classes in Diablo 2 and have been added as a default class for Diablo 3’s first expansion, Reaper of Souls.

In Diablo 2, Necromancers used both magic and summoned minions to fight their enemies. In D3, the Necromancers have been changed for Diablo 3. Their old summoning skills are now a passive trait, and they instead

In addition to those traits, the Necromancer is also a very good class for Curses. This means that he can greatly enhance his own abilities as well as weaken his enemies at certain times.

Necromancers have the ability to resurrect corpses and control the recently deceased. The dead release spiritual energies that haunt the mortal realms.

Sorceress

The Sorceress is a rebellious sorceress whose skills amaze and surpass even the best mages. She starts with only four healing potions and a staff. The Sorceress is not completely defenceless in close combat, however. In combination with the Stone of Jordan, however, the sorceress is an almost invincible force. The initial staff has a small damage of 1-5. It is possible to go into melee with her, strategically this is a rather poor choice.

diablo 2 runes, gold and level boost

D2 Rune

The runes, which may be found on shields and Armor’s as well as weapons, have a variety of effects. You can improve these runes by combining two or three of the same type together with a particular gem kind/quality in the Horadric Cube to advance to the next higher-level rune. For this reason, the runes are also very important in D2. That’s why we offer you the possibility to buy the D2 rune.

There are many different runes, such as:

  • IST Rune with the magical item finding effect
  • OHM Rune which improve your damage
  • VEX Rune that makes you resistant to fire
  • GUL Rune which makes you resistant to poison
  • LO Rune are very useful for lightning resistance
  • SUR Rune with the useful ability to blind a target
  • BER Rune that are great for tanks
  • JAH Rune which can break every great defence
  • CHAM Rune with you cannot be frozen
  • ZOD Rune to make some good rune words

Runewords

You can only create Rune words by combining runes in the cube with other items that have rune words on them. Also is it possible to activate these Rune word skills by putting a preselected rune on a weapon or Armor. In D2 Resurrected, the requirements for rune words must be met to create them at an NPC, usually including a minimum level requirement and other requirements like many other weapons.

  • Convert SOL Rune: Converting Sol is usually a bad sign for the character’s abilities. You should definitely use another rune in this case, if you haven’t wasted all your gold for nothing!
  • UM Runes are generally the most used rune words. A character can obtain a total of four Um Runes to improve his skills!
  • Yellows (yellow rune words) are the lowest rune words in Diablo Resurrected; a maximum of three yellow rune words can be given to a character.
  • Blues (blue runewords) are the next highest, but still very weak, runewords in Diablo Resurrected; a maximum of three blue runewords can be given to a character.
  • Primes (red rune words) are the middle and weakest rune words in Diablo Resurrected; a maximum of three red prime rune words can be given to a character.

Should you buy Runes for your new character in Diablo 2? Accordingly, how many, and which words should be purchased?

The answer to this question is very complex and must always depend on the specific situation. However, there are a few general tendencies that should be taken into account when buying rune words in D2.

Don’t waste your time with pointless leveling or gold farming. Get boost and gold for Diablo 2 Resurrected on PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch or PC now.
