Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis (PSO 2 NGS) Services

Phantasy Star Online 2 is a free-to-play online action RPG built around class progression, quests, real-time combat, equipment development, character customization, item trading, and the Meseta economy.

The listing above covers Meseta for the original PSO2 environment. It remains separate from N-Meseta, equipment, tasks, and progression systems found in PSO2 New Genesis.

How Phantasy Star Online 2 Progression Works

Progress in the original PSO2 comes from character classes, quest completion, equipment development, skill selection, and access to higher-level activities.й

Classes and Character Growth

Each class has its own level progression, weapon options, skills, and combat role. Players can change classes through the Class Counter and continue levelling each class separately.

Character growth is connected to:

  • class levels and skill trees
  • main class and subclass combinations
  • quest access and difficulty tiers
  • weapon selection
  • equipment upgrades
  • combat experience

Changing classes does not erase progress earned on another class. Each class retains its own level and learned skills.

Equipment and Quest Progress

Weapons and Units affect damage, defence, survivability, and class performance. Equipment development can include enhancement levels, unlocked potentials, Augments, and suitable weapon choices for the selected class.

Quest progress covers story content, Expeditions, Urgent Quests, client orders, limited-time activities, and other mission formats available within PSO2 Blocks.

Meseta supports this progress through NPC shops, player trading, equipment expenses, and purchases from Personal Shops.

Meseta and the PSO2 Economy

Meseta in Original PSO2

Meseta is the standard in-game currency of the original Phantasy Star Online 2. Players obtain it from quests, rewards, item sales, and other game activities.

It can be spent on shop purchases, equipment-related costs, consumable items, and goods listed by other players. The official PSO2 guide identifies Meseta as the currency accepted by shops within the Shopping Plaza.

The PSO2 Meseta listing connects with this original economy. It does not represent premium currency, character levels, completed quests, class experience, equipment enhancement, or New Genesis currency.

Meseta and N-Meseta Are Separate

Phantasy Star Online 2 and PSO2 New Genesis can be accessed through the same client. Players can transfer between PSO2 and NGS Blocks, yet each game keeps its own progression and economic systems.

The currency distinction is:

  • Meseta belongs to the original PSO2.
  • N-Meseta belongs to PSO2 New Genesis.

N-Meseta is used for New Genesis storage, equipment enhancement, tasks, shops, and other NGS systems. PSO2 Meseta cannot replace N-Meseta within New Genesis.

PSO2 and PSO2 New Genesis

The original PSO2 is based around mission zones, ARKS Lobby activities, class combinations, story quests, equipment collection, and its established Meseta economy.

PSO2 New Genesis follows a separate structure with open fields, Exploration Sectors, Combat Sectors, its own classes and equipment, N-Meseta, Creative Spaces, and newer story content.

Characters can move between the two game environments through the shared client. Currency, class levels, equipment progress, and most gameplay systems remain tied to their respective environment.

Update: Tainted Incarnation of Origin

Tainted Incarnation of Origin is a major PSO2 New Genesis ver.2 update that introduced new gameplay content, combat encounters, equipment, quests, and system additions.

Its content belongs to New Genesis and remains separate from the original Phantasy Star Online 2 economy. The update does not merge Meseta with N-Meseta. Meseta remains tied to the original PSO2, whereas N-Meseta is used for purchases, equipment development, and other systems within New Genesis.

The listing above continues to cover original PSO2 Meseta rather than N-Meseta or New Genesis progression. Full content details are available in SEGA’s official Tainted Incarnation of Origin update overview

Goal Covered by the Phantasy Star Online 2 Listing

The current PSO2 Meseta listing covers Meseta for the original PSO2 economy.

Meseta can be used for:

  • NPC and Personal Shop purchases
  • equipment-related expenses
  • consumable items
  • player trading
  • character preparation within PSO2 Blocks

It does not cover N-Meseta, New Genesis progression, class levelling, quest completion, equipment upgrades, AC, or other premium systems.

Players need to check the selected Ship and confirm that they require original PSO2 Meseta rather than N-Meseta before choosing an amount.
