Personal Missions 3.0 is the third permanent Personal Missions campaign in World of Tanks. It appears in the game as Sector 3 and introduces progression based on combat roles, Campaign Points, and the gradual assembly of reward vehicles.
Sector 3 contains three consecutive Operations. Their main rewards are the Tier VIII Windhund, the Tier X Vz. 60S Dravec, and the Tier XI Black Rock. Players earn Campaign Points through the three main mission series, Daily Missions, and Weekly Quests. These points fill the current Operation bar and unlock the components needed to assemble its vehicle.

You do not need to complete every mission to receive the standard vehicle reward. Completing all missions is required only for finishing an Operation with honors and claiming its additional rewards.
What Is Personal Missions 3.0?
Personal Missions are permanent challenges that test different combat skills and vehicle types. They do not use a seasonal deadline, so players can progress at their own pace.
World of Tanks currently has three Personal Missions campaigns:
- Long-Awaited Backup
- Second Front
- Sector 3
Long-Awaited Backup groups missions by vehicle class. Second Front uses national formations. Sector 3 instead organizes vehicles by their official combat roles.
The first two campaigns can progress simultaneously when the selected vehicle meets both mission requirements. Sector 3 must be selected separately. Switching campaigns pauses the current one without removing completed missions or other saved progress.
The current official guide states that Personal Missions are completed in Random Battles. Before entering combat, check the active mission card in the client for its eligible tiers, roles, repetition requirements, and additional restrictions.
Players working on several account goals can also browse the available World of Tanks boosting services. For independent Sector 3 progression, the most important factors are vehicle eligibility, Garage variety, and a precise understanding of each mission condition.
How Sector 3 Differs From the Older Campaigns
Missions in Long-Awaited Backup and Second Front have primary and secondary conditions. Completing the primary condition finishes the mission, while the secondary condition provides an additional reward and allows the mission to be completed with honors.
Sector 3 uses a different structure. Its missions do not have a separate, more difficult secondary condition. Completing a mission awards Campaign Points, which advance the overall Operation.
This means one difficult objective does not necessarily prevent the player from receiving the Operation vehicle. Campaign Points can still come from the other two series, Daily Missions, and Weekly Quests.
The unfinished mission remains active and prevents access to the next objective in its own series. However, the general Operation bar can continue moving through other sources.
Sector 3 also displays the reward vehicle being assembled. As the player reaches new stages, individual vehicle components become available. Installing the final component completes the standard Operation and credits the vehicle to the account.
Sector 3 Campaign Structure
The campaign contains three Operations that must be completed consecutively. Windhund comes first, followed by Dravec and Black Rock.
| Operation | Eligible tiers | Main vehicle reward |
|---|---|---|
| Windhund | VI-XI | Tier VIII Windhund tank destroyer |
| Dravec | VII-XI | Tier X Vz. 60S Dravec heavy tank |
| Black Rock | VIII-XI | Tier XI Black Rock heavy tank |
Each Operation has three independent mission series:
- Vanguard
- Ambush
- Assistance
Every series contains 15 missions, with 14 standard missions followed by a 15th final mission. This produces 45 missions per Operation and 135 missions across the complete campaign.
The three series remain active simultaneously. A player can advance Vanguard in one battle, switch to an Ambush vehicle for the next, and then work on Assistance.
Progress inside each individual series remains sequential. Completing Ambush missions does not unlock a later Vanguard mission. The next objective in a series becomes available only after the previous one has been completed.
Some missions must be completed multiple times or with different vehicles. The exact repetition requirement is shown in the mission card.
How Campaign Points Work
Campaign Points determine overall progress through the active Operation. They unlock stages and the components required to assemble its reward vehicle.
Points are earned from:
- Vanguard, Ambush, and Assistance missions
- Daily Missions
- Weekly Quests
The three Sector 3 series are the main source. Daily and weekly activities provide additional points that can keep an Operation moving when one series becomes difficult.
Campaign Points are applied automatically. Players do not need to distribute them between individual components. When the required threshold is reached, the next vehicle part becomes available for installation.
After the final part has been mounted, the corresponding reward vehicle is added to the account.
Can You Receive a Vehicle Without Completing Every Mission?
Yes. The standard vehicle reward depends on the Campaign Point bar and the assembly of all required components, not on the completion of all 45 missions.
For example, a player who becomes stuck in Assistance can continue earning points through Vanguard, Ambush, Daily Missions, and Weekly Quests.
The blocked Assistance mission will still prevent the player from moving to the next task in that series. It does not automatically stop the reward vehicle from being assembled.
Daily Missions and Weekly Quests should be treated as supporting progress rather than the main route. Relying on them alone will usually take much longer than completing the Sector 3 series.
Completing an Operation With Honors
Standard completion and honors completion are separate goals.
Standard completion requires enough Campaign Points to unlock and install all parts of the Operation vehicle.
Completion with honors requires every Vanguard, Ambush, and Assistance mission in that Operation to be finished.
Additional Campaign Points can help assemble a vehicle, but they do not replace unfinished missions for honors status.
Completing Operations with honors awards additional customization and account rewards. The official Sector 3 announcement states that completing all three Operations with honors grants an exclusive badge, five 3D attachments, and one year of WoT Premium Account.
Players interested mainly in Windhund, Dravec, or Black Rock can focus on the Operation bar first. Players pursuing complete honors rewards will eventually need to return to every unfinished objective.
Vanguard, Ambush, and Assistance Roles
Sector 3 uses official vehicle roles rather than relying only on conventional classes.
Two heavy tanks of the same tier may belong to different mission series. A vehicle should therefore be checked in the client before it is prepared for a specific objective.
Vanguard
Vanguard missions can be completed with heavy tanks, medium tanks, and tank destroyers assigned to these roles:
- Breakthrough
- Assault
- Versatile
The series focuses on armored frontline play. Conditions may involve dealing damage at close or medium range, blocking damage, attacking specific enemy classes, destroying targets, or placing near the top of the team.
The best Vanguard vehicle depends on the active objective. A slow and heavily armored tank can work well for blocked-damage requirements but may struggle with an action that must be completed during the opening minutes.
A faster versatile vehicle may reach targets earlier but provide less reliable armor. Match the vehicle to the mission instead of using the same tank for the entire series.
For damage-and-blocking objectives, consider the vehicle’s HP, armor layout, gun reliability, and ability to reach a contested position before the battle develops elsewhere.
Ambush
Ambush missions use heavy tanks, medium tanks, and tank destroyers with these roles:
- Sniper
- Support
The series is designed around second-line fire support. Missions may require consecutive penetrations, damage to moving targets, damage while remaining unspotted, destruction of particular classes, or a high total damage result.
Accuracy and penetration are important, but they are not enough on their own. The vehicle also needs access to active firing lanes and enough mobility to leave a position after the battle moves to another area.
Sitting at the rear of the map does not guarantee useful damage. A good Ambush position should provide targets while preserving cover, camouflage, and at least one route for relocation.
For damage missions, consistent gun performance is generally more useful than the largest possible alpha damage. Players dealing with difficult damage requirements can review WoT Damage Boost. During independent completion, positioning, survival, target selection, and the number of effective shots remain decisive.
Assistance
Assistance missions can be completed with:
- All light tanks
- SPGs regardless of role
The series covers spotting, assisted damage, tracking, stunning, and support for allied attacks.
Light tanks and SPGs provide different routes through the same series. Some missions include alternative conditions, allowing the player to use the mechanic that better matches the available vehicles.
A light tank needs more than maximum view range. The map, scouting route, camouflage, foliage, enemy positions, and allied firing lanes all affect the result.
Spotting several enemies creates little assisted damage when allies cannot shoot them. An effective scouting position must reveal targets that the team can actually engage.
SPG conditions may measure stun duration, the number of stunned enemies, assisted damage, or support for destroyed targets. Read the wording carefully before selecting equipment and ammunition.
The current role requirements for all three series are confirmed in the official Personal Missions guide.
How to Read Mission Conditions
Before entering a battle, open the active mission and review every part of its description.
A Sector 3 mission can specify:
- Vehicle role and minimum tier
- A particular enemy class
- Minimum damage or assisted damage
- Completion in one battle
- Completion over several battles
- An action during the first minutes
- Survival or victory
- Repetition with different vehicles
- Alternative conditions joined by or
- Multiple requirements joined by and
The difference between and and or is critical.
When conditions are connected by and, every listed requirement must be fulfilled. Reaching the damage target without destroying the required enemy will not complete a mission that demands both actions.
When conditions are connected by or, only one route is required. Choose the option that is more realistic for the selected vehicle and current Garage.
Some destruction requirements also include a minimum amount of personal damage to the target. Finishing a nearly destroyed enemy with one low-damage shot may not qualify.
Time limits need similar attention. A mission may require damage or destroyed vehicles during the opening three or four minutes. Completing the same action after that window will not count.
Tracking Mission Progress in Battle
The active Personal Mission is displayed in the battle interface. Detailed conditions can be reviewed through the mission panel during the match.
The official World of Tanks Personal Missions guide contains the current mission structure, role categories, progression rules, and reward information.
Before the countdown ends, reduce the active condition to one clear objective. For example:
- Damage a particular vehicle class
- Remain unspotted while dealing damage
- Keep targets spotted until allies hit them
- Preserve HP for a late-game exchange
- Complete an action before the stated time limit
This prevents a useful battle from being wasted because one smaller restriction was overlooked.
Preparing a Garage for Sector 3
One vehicle cannot efficiently complete the entire campaign. Eligible roles, tiers, map requirements, and mission mechanics change throughout the three Operations.
A practical Garage should cover three areas:
Frontline vehicles for Vanguard.
Accurate second-line vehicles for Ambush.
Light tanks or SPGs for Assistance.
There is no need to prepare dozens of tanks immediately. Start with one reliable option for each series, then add alternatives when the current objective requires another role, tier, or mechanic.
Before beginning a serious mission session, check:
- The combat role of every selected vehicle.
- Its eligibility for the active Operation.
- Equipment and Field Modifications.
- Crew preparation.
- Ammunition and consumables.
- The exact conditions of all three active missions.
Avoid changing vehicles after every unsuccessful battle. Play a small sample with an eligible tank, then identify whether the problem comes from the vehicle, map, target selection, or mission interpretation.
A second suitable vehicle is especially useful when a mission requires different completions or when one tank depends too heavily on a particular type of map.
Windhund Operation
Windhund is the first Sector 3 Operation and accepts Tier VI-XI vehicles.
It introduces the Campaign Point system, the three mission series, and vehicle assembly. Its earlier tasks focus on fundamental combat actions such as dealing damage, using armor, landing penetrations, spotting enemies, and generating assisted damage.
Windhund is also a useful test of the player’s Garage. If Vanguard advances smoothly while Assistance repeatedly stops, the account may lack a suitable light tank or SPG.
Identifying these gaps during the first Operation is useful because Dravec and Black Rock introduce stricter requirements.
The main reward is the Windhund, an accurate and stealthy Tier VIII tank destroyer designed around ambush play.
Dravec Operation
Dravec opens after the Windhund Operation has been completed. It accepts Tier VII-XI vehicles.
Its missions demand more consistent performance. Conditions may require stronger results in one battle, several connected actions, or repeated completion with different vehicles.
By this stage, having more than one suitable Vanguard and Ambush tank becomes valuable. A heavily armored vehicle may suit city maps, while a more mobile alternative can perform better on open terrain.
Assistance also benefits from having both a light tank and an SPG available. Alternative conditions can make one approach much more practical than the other.
Do not force a mission on a map that does not support it. An objective based on unspotted damage is naturally more difficult on a confined urban map. Playing for a productive battle and waiting for a better environment is often more efficient than sacrificing the vehicle in an unrealistic attempt.
The reward is the Vz. 60S Dravec, a Tier X heavy tank described as resilient, versatile, and capable of breakthrough play.
Black Rock Operation
Black Rock is the final and most demanding Sector 3 Operation. It accepts Tier VIII-XI vehicles.
The later missions increase their damage, assistance, and battle-impact requirements. Some objectives must be completed more than once or with different vehicles, making Garage depth especially important.
Check the mission card before starting a difficult attempt. A successful battle on a vehicle that does not satisfy the repetition or eligibility rule will not advance the objective.
Not every match needs to be a direct attempt at the hardest mission. A player can still use a session to:
- Advance another active series
- Complete Daily Missions
- Progress Weekly Quests
- Earn additional Campaign Points
- Prepare a different eligible vehicle
- Wait for a more suitable map and enemy lineup
The Black Rock, a Tier XI heavy tank, is awarded after the Operation bar has been completed and the final component has been installed. Every mission is required only for completing the Operation with honors.
Using Daily Missions and Weekly Quests
Daily Missions and Weekly Quests provide an alternative source of Campaign Points.
They are particularly useful when an individual Sector 3 series becomes blocked. Even when the active Personal Mission is not completed, an ordinary Random Battle session may still move the Operation bar through daily or weekly progress.
Before choosing a vehicle, compare all active conditions. One battle may contribute to:
- A Sector 3 mission
- A Daily Mission
- A Weekly Quest
- Tech Tree progression
Combining compatible objectives saves time and reduces the number of battles played without useful progress.
The main Sector 3 missions still provide most Campaign Points. Daily and weekly activities support the campaign but are not intended to replace the three mission series entirely.
When to Change Missions or Vehicles
Sector 3 does not require players to repeat one inefficient attempt indefinitely.
Changing focus makes sense when:
- The available maps do not support the condition
- The account lacks the required role or tier
- The objective depends on a rare enemy class
- Another active series has more predictable requirements
- A different vehicle can perform the same action more consistently
- Repeated failures are reducing concentration
Vanguard, Ambush, and Assistance remain active simultaneously, so switching between their vehicles does not pause the other series.
Switching to one of the older campaigns pauses Sector 3, but its saved progress remains. Players can return later without losing completed missions or Operation progress.
Common Personal Missions 3.0 Mistakes
Choosing a Vehicle Only by Class
A heavy tank does not automatically qualify for Vanguard. Its official combat role determines the series.
Ignoring Alternative Conditions
A mission joined by or may offer two very different routes. Trying to complete both or choosing the harder one wastes time.
Playing Only One Series
All three series are active. Ignoring Ambush or Assistance leaves available Campaign Points unclaimed.
Trying to Use One Tank for the Entire Campaign
Later objectives require different roles, tiers, mechanics, and sometimes several separate vehicles.
Remaining Stuck on One Mission
An unfinished task blocks its own series, but Campaign Points from other sources can continue assembling the reward vehicle.
Confusing the Tank Reward With Honors Completion
Receiving the Operation vehicle requires the completed assembly bar. Honors status requires every mission.
Missing a Time Limit
An action completed after the stated time window will not qualify, even when the final battle result is otherwise strong.
Overlooking a Combined Requirement
Damage, target type, survival, victory, and personal contribution may be part of the same condition. Missing one element prevents completion.
Practical Sector 3 Progression Plan
Begin each session by checking the active Vanguard, Ambush, and Assistance missions. Select the most predictable objective instead of focusing only on the largest immediate reward.
Prepare at least one suitable vehicle for each series. Play several battles before changing the configuration, then review why the condition did not progress.
Complete Daily Missions and Weekly Quests alongside the main series. Their Campaign Points can support the assembly bar while one mission remains difficult.
After opening a new Operation, check the minimum vehicle tier again. A tank used for Windhund may be ineligible for Dravec or Black Rock.
For difficult missions, separate controllable factors from random ones. The player can control vehicle choice, equipment, ammunition, route, positioning, and target selection. The map, enemy lineup, and allied decisions cannot be selected in advance.
After several unsuccessful attempts, ask three questions:
- Does the vehicle have the correct combat role?
- Can it perform the required action consistently?
- Does the mission offer an easier alternative condition?
When a particular objective takes too much time or prevents honors completion, players can review WoT Personal Missions 3.0 Boost. The selected target should match the current Operation, mission series, eligible vehicles, and progress already recorded on the account.
FAQ
All 45 missions are required for completing the Operation with honors.
What Players Should Know
Personal Missions 3.0 allows players to assemble reward vehicles without completing every difficult mission first. Vanguard, Ambush, Assistance, Daily Missions, and Weekly Quests all contribute Campaign Points to the active Operation.
Players focused on obtaining Windhund, Dravec, or Black Rock should monitor the overall assembly bar. Those pursuing honors completion must eventually finish every mission in all three series.
The most reliable approach is to prepare vehicles for each role group, check and/or conditions carefully, and switch objectives when one becomes inefficient. Sector 3 rewards a flexible Garage, correct vehicle selection, and steady progression rather than one exceptional battle.
