Unlock flying in WoW WotLK Classic
If you want to fly in Wrath of the Lich King Classic, you will have to unlock the skill Cold Weather Flying. Like in every other expansion of World of Warcraft, there are some requirements that you must met before. In this short WOTLK flying guide we will show you how you can get this skill quickly to start flying in Northrend.
Flying in Northrend without Cold Weather Flying
In WOTLK Classic, there is an alternative to flying without spending gold. If you are level 77 and do not have the condition or the necessary gold to buy the Cold Weather Flying skill, you can borrow flying mounts at K3 in Storm Peaks from the NPC Honest Max. The big disadvantage is, that you are very slow cause you have a riding speed of 60% and you are only allowed to fly to Storm Peaks, Sholazar Basin and Icecrown.
Buy Cold Weather Flying in WoW WOTLK
Requirement for flying in WOTLK Classic:
Your character must have reached level 77 and already learned the skill Experienced Riding.
How much does it cost to fly in WOTLK Classic?
For the ability Cold Weather Flying you have to pay 1000 gold.
You can buy the ability at three different merchants in Northrend.
You can find the merchants for Cold Weather Flight here:
- Roxi Ramrocket in the Storm Peaks: She is located in the K3 warehouse.
- Hira Snowdawn in Dalaran: This NPC is located on a landing field and is right next to the Dalaran flight master. From this NPC, you can both learn the Gold Weather Flight skill and buy the Cold Weather Flight tome. You can send this to your other characters so they can fly in Northrend as well. However, note that your twinks must also learn the Skilled Riding ability.
- Pilot Vic im Sholazar Basin: This NPC is located at the river fork.
